The Nashua Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking qualified applicants to fill the full-time position of Property Manager working in the Public Housing Department. The Property Manager is responsible for all property activities related to compliance with the lease at assigned development(s). This role as “lease enforcer” requires the Property Manager to represent the Authority at court proceedings, perform unit inspections, monitor rental arrearages, and status of physical repairs that might affect code compliance and thus the Authority’s obligations under the lease. This position requires extensive contact with residents and is the central point of contact regarding lease and occupancy matters. The Property Manager provides supervision to two assistants who aid in all aspects of the position. This is a Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. position with rotating on-call weekend/holiday coverage.
The nature of this work requires prior experience in property management or assistant property management. Experience and knowledge of housing management practices, building maintenance practices, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), real estate principles and practices, strong written and oral communication skills, and knowledge of computers including word processing. Experience with public housing operations is preferred. Spanish bilingual is a plus. Valid driver’s license required.
The salary range is between $41,400 and $51,750 based on prior experience and includes a full benefits package.
